God is doing some amazing stuff here in Haiti. Looking around and just seeing the people you can just tell that they are still hurting but one little wave or smile you can see them light up and wave back and see some kind of hope in them. We went to an orphanage yesterday and spent the day with the kids. I personally almost had a heat stroke playing soccer with the kids in the scorching heat but nonetheless had a great time. I love Haiti and the people here. It can be frustrating that I cant really communicate to them but we are all trying. Hugs and smiles communicate so that's good. Well, please continue to pray for our safety, especially our health. That we would be safe some all sicknesses! Love you all! - Peter
On Jan 12, 2010, the Haitian capital of Port Au Prince was struck by a magnitude 7.0 earthquake that killed more than 230,000 people and made over a million people homeless...In the summer of 2010 a team of people from New Hope Diamond Head in Honolulu HI, headed to Haiti to serve and share the love of Jesus. They went thinking they would be helping make a change, little did they know, their lives would be changed forever. Follow the amazing journeys that God continues to take them on...
